Classical Music for a Better World (CMBW) was founded in 2017 by Michael Lu. It has one mission: to use the power of classical music to inspire every single human being on this planet to make this world a better place for all. CMBW works closely with BioFinancial Technologies to produce financial resources to support the field of classical music, and with the American Institute of Translational Medicine and Therapeutics to increase efficiency in people's life and work.
Currently planned to begin in the fall of 2023 is an online mini-concert series. There will be three or four mini-concerts per season. Each mini-concert is oriented around a specific theme and preceded by a monologue that discusses the theme and how it specifically relates to the program. The first season of mini-concerts will include four solo piano recitals performed by Michael and will include the following works:
the two Sonatas for Piano, Op. 27 by Ludwig van Beethoven and two Nocturnes, Op. 27 by Frederic Chopin (first concert);
Second concert TBD;
Prelude, Fugue, and Variation by César Franck arr. Harold Bauer; Prelude, Chorale, and Fugue by César Franck; and In the Mists by Leoš Janáček (third concert);
and Piano Sonata in B-flat major, D. 960 by Franz Schubert (fourth concert).
